On average in England and Wales, the timescale for a Residential conveyancing transaction ranges from 6 to 12 weeks and is dependant on Search Providers, Lenders and other parties and their representatives progressing their work in a timely manner.

Here at Harrisons our Residential conveyancing prices for a sale, purchase, mortgage or re-mortgage, exclusive of VAT, range from
£500 to £795 for transactions with a value up to £250,000
£795 to £1250 for transactions with a value between £250,000 and £500,000
£500 to £1195 for transactions with a value up to £250,000
£795 to £1650 for transactions with a value between £250,000 and £500,000
For transactions with a value over £500,000 – £1250 to 1/4% of the transaction value
Our prices depend on a number of factors, including:
- The value of the transaction
- Whether the property is registered or unregistered land
- Whether the property is a new build
- The complexity of the matter
- The expertise of the solicitor looking after you
Our price does not include disbursements i.e. external costs associated with your sale or purchase, such as search fees. Stamp Duty Land Tax/ Land Transaction Tax and Land Registry fees.
